Flitton Moor wins national community green flag award again! Well done to all volunteers who help to maintain the Moor.

Six open spaces owned by Central Bedfordshire Council have today been recognised as some of the best community-run green spaces in the country in the UK’s National Green Flag Awards 2021.

Amongst these, CBC has secured a full Green Flag Award for Rushmere Country Park and Houghton Hall Park. The other four parks and green spaces that received the prestigious Green Flag Community Award this year are Linslade Wood; Tiddenfoot Waterside Park; and Flitton Moor.

This is fantastic news for Flitton Moor which keeps its Green Flag and has been nationally recognised in the Award scheme, especially over the past couple of years when open spaces have been a lifeline to residents, providing them with a place to relax, meet friends, exercise or simply escape for a short time. The Green Flag flying in Flitton is a testament to the efforts of both CBC staff and volunteers, who work tirelessly to maintain the high standards demanded.
