If you are an allotment holder at Joes Close, could you please make sure that any equipment, glass/poly tunnels or ground coverings you are using is secured so it doesn’t blow around.
In the recent high winds there was apparently a lot of debris flying about the site as reported by local residents and the Council has sent someone in to clear any remaining rubbish or loose equipment away. As this site is in a residential area we do need to think of our neighbouring residents as well as the damage this may cause to other allotments, cars on site or buildings.
Also if you are visiting the allotments in a vehicle, again please be mindful about parking and leaving the track clear. The road is used by other allotment holders, residents, visitors to the Moor and delivery vehicles and it is reported that sometimes access is very tight because of inconsiderate parking. This is not just being aimed at allotment holders, but to any persons who park vehicles along the track.
