Email to the Council received on behalf of the Developer
Dear Flitton & Greenfield Parish Council
I’m sure you will be aware of the proposals for a new community in Central Bedfordshire, known as Greenwoods. We are holding a public exhibition to provide information on the updated proposals, following withdrawal of a planning application last year.
We would like to welcome local residents and other interested parties to attend. Members of the project team will be happy to receive any comments and answer any questions. Events are being held at Capability House, Wrest Park on Thursday 24 March from 4pm to 8pm and on Saturday 26 March from 10am to 2pm.
We look forward to meeting you to discuss the proposals.

Totally opposed to this development for the following reasons:
Will generate significant change in road traffic on an existing congested, road network causing excess noise, vibration and dust pollution. The surrounding villages will be used as a ‘rat run’ as they are the most direct route to M1, Railways stations.
The traffic survey of September 2020 is inaccurate as traffic levels were below normal due to covid.
The length of development time will put increasing pressure on our already struggling doctors surgeries, hospitals, educational and recreational facilities.
Loss of open countryside causing a visual change to local landscaped. Destruction of tress and hedges.
Significant loss of Green Belt land
Very large scale development is inconsistent with the Local Plan
The Parish Council will consider any new application in due course. The Parish Council opposed the previous application.
What a load of tosh, sounds like a ‘greenwash’ PR exercise to enable an unwanted development to have another attempt at pushing something through to make a small number of people a lot of money
